I'm committed to participatory forms of research as a way of generating knowledge not only for the academy, but also for the populations I do research with. As academic citizens we should be committed not only to expanding the existing body of scientific knowledge, but also to encouraging other people to engage in political and scientific endeavors through our work. Rather than extracting information for the academic community, I strive through participatory and open source research methods to generate knowledge for all participants involved.
